Canadian Digital Regulators Forum

The Canadian Digital Regulators Forum is a partnership between the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, the Competition Bureau, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and the Copyright Board of Canada.

The Forum was established in June 2023 to strengthen information sharing and collaboration on matters that relate to digital markets and platforms.

The Chair of the Forum rotates between members. Privacy Commissioner of Canada Philippe Dufresne served as Chair during Year Two, and officially transferred duties to CRTC Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer Vicky Eatrides in spring 2025.

The Forum’s Terms of Reference outline its objectives, scope, and operational guidelines.

  • The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada oversees compliance with privacy legislation and promotes the privacy rights of individuals.
